• characteristic of typical sexual behaviour of residents of a nursing home
• sexual deviations in total institutions and possibilities of their treatment
• sexual frustrations as one of the reasons of aggression of nursing homes' residents
• staff's attitude towards sexual behaviour of nursing homes' residents and an attempt to change them
• how to ensure nursing homes' residents a constitutionally guaranteed right to sexual life
• other European countries solutions

We also invite representatives of nursing homes' staff to a workshop training
"Work with a problematic resident of a nursing home".

The Second Meeting of "Care Without Violence" Partnership

On the 30th of April 2009 the Second Meeting of "Care Without Violence" Partnership finished. Its subject was: "How to run a nursing home without violence and receive the Certificate" and it concerned practical aspects of implementation of "Care Without Violence Certificate" We also talked over the latest activity of the Partnership.
We would like to thank all the Partners, who participated in the meeting, for their engagement in popularising the idea of preventing violence in an institutional care.

"Preventing violence at nursing homes" conference and giving "Care Without Violence" Certificates

An annual conference for nursing homes' managers took place on the 27th till 29th 2009 in Kazimierz Dolny. Its subject was preventing violence in care institutions. The conference is a part of a national programme "Care Without Violence". Radio Lublin is its media patron.
The conference had a training and discussing character and its theme was mainly about theoretical and practical aspects of violence cases in nursing homes (their reasons, mechanism, signs and methods of preventing).
The conference was accompanied by a ceremony of giving next "Care Without Violence" Certificates.
